28 years old

For my 28th birthday, my family helped me celebrate at my favorite restaurant, Flat Top Grill. My parents actually came in Thursday night and spent the entire day with me on Friday, which was absolutely wonderful. We had a lot of fun hanging out. My brother and sister-in-law came up from Indy and Glen's family joined us as well. After dinner, we headed back to the house for some ice cream cake Glen picked up for the occasion.

Big Boy Bed

On Saturday, we put together Logan's big boy bed and moved him in! We were not sure how the transition would go because he's been so content in his crib. We were worried about him having the ability to climb in and out of bed whenever he choose, but knew it was time to move. We wanted to give him time to get use to his bed before the baby came and took over "his" crib. He did wonderfully!! He hasn't climbed out of bed once and gets right in when its nap or bed time!! He's very proud of his new bed. Now we just have to finish decorating his big boy room!!! Here are a couple of pictures from his first night!!!

Night in Bethlehem

The Chapel began their Christmas services this past weekend and Saturday night they offered a kids activity called Night in Bethlehem. They had the gym decorated like the town of Bethlehem, people were dressed up and they had activity booths set up for the kids. They even had real animals available for the kids to pet. Logan made a bowl out of modeling clay, a bead necklace, and pet some animals!!

Logan's New Friend!

Over Thanksgiving, Brad and Jordan brought their new dog Carter to my parents house. Logan absolutely LOVED him. It was so much fun watching them play together. Logan did an excellent job of wearing Carter out. His favorite game was to throw the ball and have Carter fetch it. They did this all day long! If Logan ran down the hall, Carter ran down with him. Logan loved giving him hugs, kisses, and fives!!! It definitely gave us a glimpse of how Logan would do if we got him a dog....now we just have to convince Glen!! As we drove away, Logan was crying, calling out, "dog, dog!" I know he will be very excited to see him in a few weeks at Christmas!

Mischievous smile!
Playing with a sticky hand he got for Halloween!!
Logan loves playing with Play-doh!!!
It wouldn't be Logan's kind of play without some kind of truck or car involved!!!

Apple Picking at Cook's Orchard

Logan and I went to Cook's Orchard with some friends to pick some apples. Logan has been an apple fanatic lately, so I thought it would be a fun activity for him to do. He talked about it all morning before we got there. He loved pulling the apples off the tree (and picking them off the ground). He carried his bag all over the orchard ALL BY HIMSELF! He didn't want any help; unfortunately he lost most of his apples out of his bag doing this, but he was very proud of himself and the apples he picked!! The kids had a great time and it was a wonderful outdoor activity for them to do. We'll have to plan on doing it again next year, but earlier in the season so there are more "good" apples to choose from!!!

The Chapel Harvest Party

Every year The Chapel hosts a Harvest Party for the kids to dress up, play some games, get some candy, eat some food and have some fun!! This year Logan dressed up as a monkey, or as he calls himself, "George." We all had a good time and it was fun seeing some of his friends dressed up in their costumes as well. Logan loved his costume so much, he did not take it off until bath time. He walked around the house saying George and making monkey noises. It was adorable.
