Announcing.......

We are expecting Baby Weaver #2!!! We found out on June 8th that I am pregnant with our second child. After 2 round of blood work and an ultrasound on June 29th, we are so excited to share our news with everyone. From the ultrasound, everything looks absolutely wonderful. I am measuring right on schedule; the baby's heartrate is 140 and he or she looks great!! Our due date is February 12, 2010. Keep checking for pregnancy photos, baby updates, and more!!!

2009 Clark Reunion

The last Friday of every June is our annual Clark Reunion. It's always held at Rose Park in Mishawaka and there's always a wonderful turn out of family members. Each Clark "family" takes their turn hosting and this year, it was Uncle Bud and Aunt Marlene's family (who are all living in Colorado). Each year we enjoy a wonderful buffet of food, family games, family business and updates, and time to catch up on each other's lives. For some of us, this is the only time we see each other, so we definitely make the most of it.

SURPRISE...my Dad turns 50!!

My mom, brother and I decided to throw my Dad a surprise 50th birthday party. We planned it for the Friday night before our family reunion because a lot of our family would be in town. My dad is not easily tricked, so we weren't sure if we would be able to pull of the surprise. My dad thought he was attending the annual First Cousin's get together (which they usually have every year before the reunion.) Brad, Glen, and I put together a slideshow of pictures; my mom and brother put together a 1959 trivia game for everyone to play and everyone brought funny cards and/or gag gifts. We had about 45 friends and family there to surprise him. When he walked in, he was COMPLETELY surprised!!! We couldn't believe we had pulled it off. We thought, for sure, he knew about it!! It was a wonderful time celebrating my dad. He's a wonderful father, husband, friend, etc. Our family is so blessed to have him and we are so thankful for everything he's done and been to our family. He's our rock and we love him so much!! Happy Birthday Dad!

Phantom of the Barbershop

My dad is part of the South Bend-Mishawaka Valleyaires Barbershop Chorus and on June 13, 2009 they had their annual show. This year it was called Phantom of the Barbershop Show. Obviously, it was a play on Phantom of the Opera, minus opera singing. Along with the chorus, my dad's quartet, NEW IMAGE, also performed a few songs. Their featured guests this year were the women's quartet Overture and a men's quartet Old School. We enjoyed watching my dad do something he loves. We took Logan with us and he did pretty good. Glen had to take him out during the first act, but he sat through the second act very well.
