My buddy and me.....

Our good friends Matt and Keri have a son 10 weeks older than Logan, so being close in age they always have fun together. In fact, anytime I want to get Logan out of the house and I know Owen will be there, I tell Logan and he gets excited and will walk straight to the door!!! On Thursday, Owen came over to play and I captured some really cute pictures of the two of them!!

Easter

We drove up to Elkhart Easter morning to surprise my mom for the day. I had it all worked out with my dad, so he was expecting us!!! We showed up at church and she was so surprised!! My parents sang a song during the service, so we were able to hear that as well. It'd been a long time since I have heard my parents sing together. After church, we went to my Aunt Diane and Uncle Jim's house for lunch. My uncle Roger, cousin Zach, cousin Morgan, and cousin Nick & his fiancee' Tina were there as well!! We had a wonderful, home cooked meal and time to sit around and catch up!!! Logan opened his Easter basket while we were there and he and Zach had a fun time playing. It was a busy, but fun day!!!

He Is.....

I am part of a wonderful Bible Study with a great group of ladies. I feel very fortunate to be a part of it because they bring wondeful prospectives and thoughts that I wouldn't think of and they are just a lot of fun to be around. This past Wednesday we just began a new study called Anointed-Transformed-Redeemed and it includes Priscilla Shirer, Beth Moore, and Kay Arthur as the teachers. Priscilla Shirer said this in her lesson and it really stuck with me.

He Is…..
The First and the Last
The Beginning and the end
The keeper of creation
The creator of all
He’s the architect of the universe
And the manager of all time

He always was, always is and always will be
Unmoved, unchanged, undefeated and never undone

He was bruised but brought healing,
He was pierced but eased pain,
He was persecuted but brought freedom
He was dead and brings life
He is risen to bring power
And he reigns to bring peace

The world can’t understand Him
Armies can’t defeat Him
Schools can’t explain Him
And leaders they can’t ignore Him

Herod couldn’t kill Him
Nero couldn’t crush Him
The New Age can not replace Him
And Oprah can not explain Him away

He IS Life,
HE IS Love,
HE IS Longevity and He IS The LORD
HE IS Goodness, kindness, faithfulness

And HE IS GOD
HE IS holy and righteous
and powerful and pure

His ways are right,
His word eternal
His will unchanging
And His mind is on us

He is our savior, our guide,
Our peace, our joy, our comfort
Our Lord and He rules our lives,

I serve Him because His bond is love
His yoke is easy His burden is light
And His goal for us is abundant life.

I follow Him because,
He Is the wisdom of the wise
The power of the powerful
The ancient of days, the ruler of rulers,
The leader of all leaders,
His goal is a relationship with me

He will never leave you, never forsake you
Never mislead you, never forget you,
Never overlook you and
Never cancel your appointment is His appointment book.

When you fall He’ll lift you up,
When you fail He will forgive you.
When your weak He’s strong,
When your lost He’s your way
When your afraid He is your courage,
When you stumble He will steady you,
When your hurt He Is going to heal you,
When your broken He will mend you,
When your blind He will lead you,
When your hungry He will feed you,
When you face trials He Is with you,
When I face persecution He shields me,
When I face problems He will comfort me,
When I face loss He will provide for me,

And when we face death
He will carry us all home to meet Him.

He is everything for everybody,
everywhere, every time,
And in every way.

He is your God
And that, sisters, is who you belong to!

**The preacher who originally preached this sermon was a man named S.M. Lockridge. He was a black Baptist preacher in San Diego. He was born on my birthday 58 years ahead of me and died in 2000. I’m not sure what year he preached the “That’s my King” sermon. Here’s a link to a video that has him preaching. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3x5CbZdasMA

Family and Fun

Brad and Jordan had spring break this past week, so they made the rounds to visit family. We had the privilege of their company Thursday and Friday!! Logan absolutely adored his time with them and was very sad when it was time to go!! There is nothing better than family time!!! They spent so much time playing with Logan he didn't want to nap!! Reluctantly he went down for his nap and woke up an hour later ready to play again!! Unfortunately they had already left to head to our parents house, but Logan is already looking forward to seeing them again soon!!
Reading one of Logan's favorite books!!

Saturday we took Logan over to a new park being put in. It's called Buckner park and it has 2 separate play areas (for the different age groups), a splash park area (obviously still too cold to use yet), a track around the entire park, picnic tables and plenty of other possibilities!! Since it was chilly out, the playground wasn't very busy so Logan had the run of it!! He climbed up every possible step, slide down every slide, walked through the dry splash area and started all over again!! By the time we left, his little hands were icy red, but that didn't bother him. He was NOT ready to leave!!!

March Madness!!!

March was a very busy month in the Weaver household, which explains my lack of posts!!! Logan hasn't been in the water since his ISR lessons ended. So, we got involved in a Mommy and Me swim class at the Y and he is loving the water. After every lesson, they have free time to play and he never wants to get out. Unfortunately our Y keeps the pool quite cold, so his teeth are usually chattering by the time I have to pull him out kicking and screaming. He is still confident in his rescue moves, although he still screams when you put him into the float. The biggest turnaround is how much he enjoys the water!! The ISR program and Jane were definitely a blessing in more ways than one!!

Our Sunday School class has monthly socials and the March social was at our house. It just happened to fall on March Madness, so we threw a basketball party! Everyone was supposed to come in their school colors to show their support!! We had the game on the big screen and everyone had a wonderful time. It was a packed house, but tons of fun!!!
My Boiler Boys!!!

I had the chance to get away for about 24 hours one weekend. 9 girls from my Bunco group took off for Indy for some girl time away!! We left Saturday afternoon and headed to the mall in Noblesville. They had some wonderful stores there and I'm sure I bought more than I needed! After some shopping, we went and checked into our hotel room. We only had about 1 hour before dinner, so we headed to Super Target to burn some time!!! What mom doesn't love a Super Target!?!? We had dinner at Bravo!, which was absolutely wonderful. After dinner, we decided to head back to the hotel and hang out, paint our nails and just talked or as my husband thinks, we had naked pillow fights! :) The next morning, we had brunch and stopped at Trader Joe's before heading back home! It was a great get-a-way and I look forward to doing it again in June!!

Last weekend, Logan and I headed to Indianapolis for the weekend. My sister-in-law Jordan is a part of the Indianapolis Civic Theatre and they were performing West Side Story. She was Rosalia, one of the Shark girls!! My parents went down for the weekend as well and we were able to enjoy some family time together!! Brad baby-sat for me while my parents and I went to the performance. We also had the opportunity to attend Brad and Jordan's church, Trader's Point Christian Church. Logan absolutely LOVED the kids area! It was huge, with big climbing toys and slides for him to play on! Needless to say, we did not have any trouble dropping him off!! It was a wonderful weekend and I loved every minute I was able to spend with my family, especially my brother who I don't get to see as often I would like!!!
Here are some random pictures taken throughout the month of March!!!
Morning workout on the trampoline with Mr. Potato Head and Curious George

Logan absolutely adores babies, so he loves when they come over to play!!!

Being silly with Papa!!!

This is still one of my favorite toys to play with, even after almost a year!!!

My buddy Leah pulling me around!! Isn't she the best?!?!

Junior League Mustard Seed/Pajama Party

On February 28th, we attended a Pajama Party fundraiser through Junior League. They were collecting pillows, sheets, and blankets for Mustard Seed. A good friend of ours is heavily involved with Junior League so we heard about it from her. At Canterbury Middle School, you brought your items with you and they threw a pajama party for the kids. They had games, cookies, milk and prizes for the kids. Logan wasn't into the games very much, but he loved running around the cafeteria!!!

Warming up with an upward dog position!!!

Another favorite of mine; climbing on things!!!

Playing with Play-Doh, or rather eating it! YUCK! It was not tasty!!!

Daddy enjoyed playing with my Play-Doh even more than me!!

I was supposed to be sitting on the blanket listening, like my friend Maggie, but as you can tell, I'm not doing a very good job of it!!!
